Update: 3D Viewer Overhaul — Faster Loading, Mobile-Ready

The 3D viewer got a serious overhaul — the engine loads significantly faster, mobile finally works the way it should, and you can now trigger poses and actions directly in the preview. The Creator Catalog now renders every product in 3D so you see exactly what you're looking at.

⚡ Faster engine loading

The 3D engine is now cached and served from edge servers close to you. That means instead of downloading the engine from scratch every time, your browser pulls it from the nearest node. The result: the viewer boots up significantly faster, especially on repeat visits. First load is quicker too — the engine files are served compressed and optimized.

📱 Mobile — full-screen bottom sheet

On mobile, the 3D viewer now slides up as a full-screen panel instead of a cramped modal. It takes up the entire screen so you actually have room to see your avatar. Swipe down to close it — the same gesture you're used to from other apps.

Zoom controls sit at the bottom where your thumb can reach them, and everything is sized for touch. No more pinching and fighting with tiny buttons.

🔄 Loading bar — now actually useful

The loading bar has been completely reworked. Whether you're opening an outfit, a single product, or a full room — the bar now tracks every stage of the process: engine initialization, scene loading, furniture placement, and avatar rendering. Open a room with 20 pieces of furniture and 3 avatars and you see real progress — not a spinner that gives you no idea how long you'll be waiting.

The status text updates too, so you know exactly what the viewer is working on at any moment.

🖼️ Creator Catalog — 3D rendered product tiles

The Creator Catalog no longer just shows the flat catalog images from IMVU. Every product now gets a full 3D render — you see it on an actual avatar, from the right angle, with the correct proportions. Hair, clothing, accessories — everything renders on the matching base avatar so you instantly see how it looks.

Browse through a creator's catalog and you get a clean, consistent grid of rendered previews instead of a mix of random catalog thumbnails. It makes spotting what you're looking for a lot faster.

Product search is more accurate too. The system understands categories better, and there are now dedicated filter tabs — Women, Men, Outfits, Rooms, Furniture, Pets, and Avatars — so you can jump straight to the product type you're looking for instead of scrolling through everything.
