Update: 3D Previews, Product Search and a Sharper Catalog

This update is mostly polish — but it's the kind of polish that changes how the tool actually feels in your hands. Here's what's new.

3D viewer: now with full controls

The Northstar 3D viewer used to drop you in a fixed camera and that was it. Now you can orbit, tilt, and zoom with a WASD-style pad in the corner — see the avatar from any angle, get up close on details, look at outfits the way you'd actually want to.

And if a product has its own poses or stances baked in (think dance loops, twerk packs, signature gestures), they show up in a side panel as clickable triggers. Click one and the avatar plays it on the spot.

"View in 3D" everywhere

Open any product from your inventory and you'll see a new View in 3D button right next to the Download button. The system automatically loads the right base avatar (male or female) for the product and shows it on a real 3D body — clothing, hair, accessories, all of it. No external preview tools, no IMVU client needed.

Catalog now searches products too

The Creator Catalog had a small but annoying gap: you could only search by creator. Now there's a Creators / Products toggle right in the search bar. Flip it to Products and search any product name across the entire catalog — finds matches by product name and by creator name, so "Sleb3w" or "rose dress" both work.

While we were in there: hidden products now show their actual preview image (with a small "H" badge in the corner) instead of a blank placeholder, and the Random / Top / Most-AP / Most-GA tabs now filter out disabled accounts and creators without a real 3D avatar — so the discover view is full of actual creators worth exploring.

Smaller things you'll notice

  • Product-modal images load full-size, including for hidden items.
  • Activity-feed timestamps in the Live Tracker now show the correct time (no more events stuck on "Just now" for hours).
  • "Last seen" on tracked targets pulls from live data again — old "Never seen" labels are gone.
  • Room and avatar names with special characters (the fancy unicode ones) now render properly across the whole site.

Most of these are small individually — together they make IMVU Bot a lot less janky to use day-to-day. Open the dashboard and have a look around.
